A Historic Milestone: Unveiling of Swayambhunath Sculpture in Beijing by RC Bhadgaun

Beijing, China | June 14, 2025 — In a proud and historic moment for Nepal and Rotary International, the Rotary Club of Bhadgaun (RI District 3292) officially unveiled a handcrafted sculpture of Nepal's iconic Swayambhunath Stupa at the White Pagoda Temple in Beijing. This remarkable piece of Nepalese heritage, created by dedicated Nepali artists, was donated as a symbol of cross-cultural friendship and peace.

Despite heavy rainfall, the program was successfully conducted in the gracious presence of Chinese authorities, Rotarians of RC Bhadgaun, and respected guests. The event was more than a ceremonial unveiling—it was a heartfelt gesture of goodwill and mutual respect between Nepal and China.

The sculpture now stands proudly at Araniko Hall, White Pagoda Temple, with the name of the Rotary Club of Bhadgaun engraved—marking a lasting legacy in public image and international fellowship for Rotary.

RC Bhadgaun extends its deepest gratitude to the Chinese hosts, all participating Rotarians, and especially the artists and club members whose dedication made this moment possible. This event has become a memorable and unifying milestone in the journey of service, culture, and international peace.
